Are Your Personal Care Products Affecting Your Hormones & Your Metabolism?

In every Nutritional Therapy protocol I deliver is some version of this: check all personal & home care products & replace with safer versions. I recommend using The Environmental Working Group as a guide and wrote more about this subject here, back in 2014 (with updates): Hormones in our personal care products?

I am passionate about the health of this planet & every being in it. Many of the allowed chemicals in personal care products are harmful to us, acting as hormone disruptors, obesogens & more. These harmful chemicals are not only getting into our bodies through our skin, possibly creating havoc to our health, they also wash into our water supply, affecting ALL OF US. This is not okay.

I was recently invited to a very powerful presentation sponsored by the Junior League of Portland. Lindsay Dahl of Beautycounter was the main speaker. Beautycounter is a personal care company committed to positive change. They are taking action in legislation on many environmental toxin issues, not just personal care. I resonate very deeply w/this for many reasons & envision myself joining their efforts in Washington, DC.

I’ve been using BC’s awesome charcoal mask & safer sunscreens (must trys). And, thanks to Diane Sanfilippo, I began using the Rejuvenation line & some newer make-up products over the winter & absolutely love how amazing & youthful my skin looks & feels! The combo of Beautycounter’s mission, advocacy & education to get toxic chemicals out of our personal & home care products, plus their high performance products makes Beautycounter a perfect addition to my practitioner toolbox.

It was a no-brainer for me to join forces with this company. Does what I am saying here resonate with you? Would you be interested in a private online webinar or in-person group about safer personal care products (not just BC) & also other ways to support your health? Please send me an email. If you have questions, let me know. If you are reading this before August 13th, please know that there is a site-wide 20% off sale going on until then. Holly Morello is a functional nutritional therapy practitioner, wife, and mom of 3 nearly grown sons. Her passion is helping kids with ADHD, anxiety and other challenges such as behavior issues, depression, and digestive issues. She often works with entire families or at least the parents, as parents of challenging children often have their own struggles due to the stress. On the other end of the spectrum, she also love helping menopausal women who are often confused and are feeling alone by the changes to their body because they typically don’t know anything about it until they are in it. And, she's been there, as well as being an overtaxed parent! Holly's goal is for others to be empowered by hope, hope that they can heal and life will get better. Her approach is to find and address the root cause of her client's challenges and to use food as medicine plus targeted nutritional therapy to help them heal and live their best lives. Her advanced skillset includes clinical testing of gut health, hormones, food sensitivities, and nutritional blood chemistry. Holly has been an advocate of safer personal and body care products for many years and is proud to represent Beautycounter, a company who’s mission is to craft high performing safer personal care products for the entire family and who also work with legislators to get toxic chemicals out of ALL personal and home care products in the U.S. Nourishing Excellence Nutritional Therapy, LLC https://nourishingexcellence.com/ Instagram @nourishingholly Holly's Beautycounter page: https://www.beautycounter.com/hollymorello
